How many tickets?

How it works

  1. Buy tickets

0.01 ZEC each, as many as you like, in one shielded payment. No account and no sign-up.

  2. One ticket is drawn each day

When the pot closes, a block mined afterwards picks the winner. Nobody, not even us, can choose it or know it in advance.

  3. The winner claims the pot

Paste your ticket code and a shielded address. The whole pot, minus 5% and the network fee, is sent there in ZEC.

Privacy and fairness, in detail
No sender data
Shielded payments hide who paid. The pot sees an amount and a memo, nothing else.
Tickets are keys
Your browser makes a key for each purchase. The public half goes in the payment memo. The secret half is your ticket code, and it never leaves your device.
Anyone can check the draw
The ticket list locks at the closing block. The winner comes from the hash of a block mined after that. This page re-checks every past draw itself, and anyone can run the same check with npm run verify.
Anyone can audit the money
The viewing keys for the pot and the treasury are public. Load them into a view-only wallet to see every ticket, fee and zkSNARK purchase.
Raffles are drawn the same way
When a raffle opens, its start and end blocks are fixed and published. Its ticket list locks at the end block, and a later block hash picks the winner.
Winners stay private
Only a hash of the payout address is published. Unclaimed prizes roll into a later pot after 14 days.

zkSNARK raffles

The 5% fee from each pot saves up and buys the cheapest zkSNARK on Zilkroad. Each one is raffled: every ticket bought while the raffle runs, usually 48 hours, is entered. That’s on top of the daily ZEC draw, which carries on as usual.
